Timeline

1984

Born in Atlanta, Georgia on November 27, 1984 to Gloria and Richard Quill. Joining siblings Caleb (6) and Krissa (5) in making their family complete.

1996

August - Peachtree Middle School

All Saints basketball

1997

April - 6th Grade Spring Break in Destin

October - After many years of fighting, Richey's beloved Mother Gloria passed away from breast cancer.

1999

Attended Dunwoody High School

2001

Summer - Dad, Richard, married Mary in a beautiful beach wedding. Now the family included Mary's twin daughters, Courtney and Merrill.

August - Transferred to Roswell High School.

2003

February - Proudly joined the Marine Corp.

May - Graduated from Roswell High School.

2004

February - Graduated from boot camp with honors in Parris Island, South Carolina. Richey excelled as a marksman.

2005

October

9th - ship out to the Philipines for a month

2006

Promoted to Corporal Quill.

2007

Passed away on February 01, 2007 at the age of 22 while serving with the Marines in Al Asad, Iraq. He was a member of Golf Company, 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine division based in Camp Pendleton, CA. He was completing his second tour in Iraq with the 15 MEU (Marine Expeditionary Unit) on behalf of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
