I looked up to Richey from the time i was born, and i will continue to look up to him after his death. I imitated everything and anything he did, he was my role model and my hero. No matter how much i annoyed him, he never got mad at me; no matter how much he wanted to hang out with his friends instead of his crazy little cousin when i visited, he always made my year by chilling with me. A Great Kid  / Krista Fancher (teacher/friend)

 Words can't express the sadness we feel over this awful loss.  There was never a sweeter, kinder, more gentle, or more wonderful boy than the Richey I knew with the sparkling eyes.  

  I have so many great memories of Richey and I will always hold his smile that used to light up the room close in my memory.  

The two things I remember most are how he used to tell me how much he hated math, but how hard he perservered and worked at it without quitting.  I also loved the way he played sports with amazing ease and style.  It was like he was born knowing how to be an athlete intuitively.  He was amazing and unforgettable to watch.

  Rick, Caleb, and Krissa I know you will get each other through this because you have always been a strong loving family.  I will always hold Richey's memory dear. Close

A Few Good Men  / Jase Tillman (cousin)
Richey was my first cousin. And just like his bro and sis, he was as cute of a kid as there is. This past August, I remember Richey asking: "Caleb, what color is the Ricker's hair? I can't figure it out." I'll never forget that exchange between Caled and Rich. It was so funny! I also remember watching 'A Few Good Men' with Richey when he was 7 or 8. I even taught him some of the lines. "Yes sir, I know you do sir" was our favorite and we even said that to each other to this day. I even wrote that a few times when we sent him cards. I can't help but think of Richey any time I see that movie. Hard to believe that was 14 years ago. Talk about growing up -- tall, strong, courageous, handsome -- Richey had it and will always be one of the FEW GOOD MEN. Country, God, Family, Friends -- Richey mastered it all. And though you were Krissa's one true hero, you were adored by us all. You'll always be remembered. I love you, my brother. Close

Richey Quill was my daughter’s high school boyfriend and our family knew him and his father very well. Richey was the best first love any mother could hope for. He was so good to Kira! We fully expected him to become a part of our family some day. They made an adorable couple and enjoyed many wonderful memories over the three years they were together.  

Richey’s mother died of breast cancer when Richey was 12 years old. As a teen he got a tattoo on his tricep that read “I miss you Mom”. I was not wild about tattoos on teens but this one touched my heart. Richey and his father were closer than any father and son I have ever known. My daughter is a soccer player. Richey’s father used to come with Richey to see Kira play. A couple of times he came when Richey could not. Ricker and Richey introduced our family to Nagoya restaurant in Roswell. We occasionally ate dinner there with them.

When Richey was about to deploy the first time to Iraq, it was during Kira’s Junior year final exams. The principle at Roswell High School allowed Kira to take one of her finals during the summer so that she could fly with Richey’s father to Camp Pendleton to see Richey before he left for overseas. I used expedia to make their travel plans. Today I was using Expedia to make a hotel reservation in Nashville. The website asked me to select the name of a person travelling, the drop down showed Paula, Kira and Richard... it was more than I could stand! 

As a parent I know that no parent should bury their chld! My heart is breaking for Ricker. 

I know that Richey is back in his mother's arms... he is not missing her anymore. Close
